The company & the project

A website that feels
like the business.

Blowfish is a seafood and raw-bar concept from the team behind JAX Steakhouse in Sint Maarten. It brings the care of the JAX dining room to a different kind of evening, with seafood at its centre.

The website introduces that identity through deep green, gold lettering and a sequence of food and dining-room stories. Large editorial compositions create the atmosphere; a compact navigation keeps the menu, gallery and opening information easy to reach.

What it makes possible

Good design.
Useful differences.

01

A distinct introduction

The seafood concept has a recognisable identity of its own, with a clear connection to the established JAX name.

02

Atmosphere with a purpose

Food, setting and service tell the story before visitors move to the menu or opening details.

03

Ready for the next chapter

Dedicated menu and gallery pages give the restaurant space to add new content as the concept develops.

Behind the build

Considered on the surface.
Thoughtful underneath.

A lightweight multi-page website built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Browser-native scroll observers drive the editorial reveals, with reduced-motion alternatives. The homepage, menu and gallery share the same visual system, delivered through a small Node.js static server.

Made for smaller screens, too.

The compositions are rebuilt for a portrait screen. The wordmark, food imagery and story stay generous, while navigation and practical information remain within easy reach.
